"Since he was born, it has been my go-to song to calm him," she tells PEOPLE of her song "I Got You"
She’s shared snapshots of baby Future Zahir with fans on social media, but now as she gets ready to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, Ciara is revealing her pregnancy and motherhood journey in an intimate video set to her song “I Got You.”
The touching video, shared exclusively with PEOPLE, kicks off with the singer, 29, revealing her pregnancy to her parents, Jackie and Carlton Harris, and features a giggling baby Future at home and in the studio with Mom as she records her latest album Jackie, named after her own mother.
“This song is very special to me as it’s dedicated to my son,” the star tells PEOPLE. “I cried in the process of recording [it]. This album truly marks one of the most special times in my life.”

Ciara “tailor-made the lullaby part” of the song for her son, and explains that the tune — written by Diane Warren and co-produced by herself and Harmony Samuels — has been her “go-to song to calm him.”
“If he’s ever crying or frustrated, I sing to him,” she says. “He stops everything and smiles.”
After giving birth to baby Future just a week after Mother’s Day last year, “I’m so excited for my first ‘official’ Mother’s Day,” Ciara shares.
