All the Details on Christine Lakin's Sweet Peach-Themed Nursery for Daughter Georgia
MOMMY AND ME
Christine Lakin is embracing the ups and the downs of being a new mom. "I wouldn't trade it for the world. The role of mom is definitely hardest earned, and so far, the best one I've scored," she wrote in her latest blog post.
Georgia's room and furniture are painted a neutral gray and decorated with bright pops of pink and, fittingly, peach. Her crib, dresser and chest are all part of évolur's Cheyenne collection and will last for a very long time – the 5-in-1 convertible crib converts to a daybed, toddler bed and full bed.
ALL THAT GLITTERS
A fun garland by Penelope and Lala, purchased by Lakin on Etsy, hangs over Georgia's crib. The pink, gold, green and white strips of fabric add a touch of girly whimsy to the sophisticated gray walls.
YOU NAME IT
No nursery is complete without a sweet mobile, and Georgia's is absolutely precious. Pink and blue crocheted butterflies swing from a pink ring decorated with red pom-poms. Lakin says her daughter is "just starting to take in the colors and movement" of the mobile.
Lakin and Brandon Breault, who were married in October 2014, have had some interesting experiences as new parents, like "getting projectile spit up inside [their] mouths." Also: "Brandon and I talk way too much about poop. Not the sexiest convo," she joked in her blog.
