Step by step, Christine Lakin is getting closer to welcoming her baby girl.

Her latest milestone: A sweet baby shower thrown by family and friends at a private Hollywood Hills home on Sunday.

“It was the most beautiful and most fun shower I’ve ever been to,” the actress, who’s due with her first child in March, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The peach-themed baby bash — the southern motif called for beautiful bouquets from Bashful Rose — was hosted by Good Carma Studio and attended by fellow mom-to-be DeAnna Pappas StaglianoKelly Sullivan and Stacy Kenan.

Guests noshed on a delicious spread from private chef Theresa Rountree, who made vegan pulled pork sandwiches, corn cake tamales, BBQ chopped salad and jalapeño macaroni and cheese, and ordered drinks from the bar featuring La Croix‘s sparkling water and a series of juice mixers topped off with fun peach-and-white striped straws.

“Everyone commented to me how much fun they had and how incredible the food was, which made me feel so good,” the former Step by Step star shares.

In between mingling with the mom-to-be, everyone spent time decorating onesies for Lakin and husband Brandon Breault‘s future addition as well as creating custom pages filled with words of wisdom for a scrapbook.

“I am so very grateful to my dear friends and to Good Carma Studio for making it so memorable and special,” Lakin tells PEOPLE.

Along with a sundae bar from Cold Stone Creamery, Polkatots provided a custom cake that read “Congrats on Your Little Peach,” made up of an assortment of red velvet, vanilla and chocolate cupcakes.

To finish off the festivities, Lakin was gifted with goodies from Tiny Devotions and a Mia Moda stroller while guests went home with treats from Mabel’s Labels, USANA, Emma J Designs, Revelation by Robin McGraw, Lucy & Penny Zen, Dr. Smith’s diaper rash cream, Krave Jerky and Baby K’Tan.

“We feel quite blessed and can’t wait to meet our baby,” Lakin says.
