How purr-fect: Cat Deeley is a mom!

The So You Think You Can Dance host and her husband, Irish comedian Patrick Kielty, have welcomed their first child, she announced Tuesday on Twitter.

“Beyond delighted to announce the birth of our baby boy last week. All doing well & we couldn’t be happier … 3 really is the magic number,” Deeley, 39, tweeted.

Kielty, 44, retweeted his wife’s reveal, but the couple have yet to release any further details, including their newborn son’s name.

Despite her September announcement that she was pregnant, Deeley later admitted she would never have commented if it weren’t for her growing baby bump.

“To be perfectly honest, I wouldn’t have even announced it to anybody if I hadn’t been doing a live TV show,” she told PEOPLE days later.

“I probably would have tried to hide it for a bit longer, but it got to the point where I was like, ‘Ah, I’m live every week.’ And then people grab me and I’m like, ‘Oh no.’ There is only so much microphone and card work you can do in the middle.”

And although she kept the sex of her baby on the way a secret, Deeley, who wed Kielty in September 2012 in Rome, didn’t plan on waiting for a delivery surprise.

“It’s going to be a real change for us. [I] think it will be really nice to know if it’s a little girl or a little boy and [call] it he or she rather than it,” she explained while attending the Emmy Awards.
