Look Back at Mom-to-Be Carrie Underwood's Rock Star Pregnancy Style
GLAM AND EVEN MORE GLAM
She's been known to change one (or 10) times during an awards show, but for the American Country Countdown Awards in Nashville in 2014, the then-mom-to-be (she welcomed son Isaiah Michael Fisher on Feb. 27, 2015) made a big impact in just two looks. While taking in the action with husband Mike Fisher, Underwood went goddess-like in a tight white floor-length gown with gold detailing that hugged her bump. To perform a medley of her hits, a burst of color with a belted, ruffled blue dress. Red (carpet), white and blue … how very American Idol.
GOLD LEGGINGS: THE NEW MOM JEANS?
Ahh, leggings, every mom-to-be's favorite pair of pants. Of course, those moms-to-be probably aren't wearing a shimmery metallic leather pair and accessorizing them with windowpane stilettos, which Underwood did for a performance on The Tonight Show.
ALL BLACK EVERYTHING (WELL, EXCEPT FOR THAT LIP)
She's all about that leathah. In another pair of second-skin pants, Underwood added a sparkly coat, coordinating vampy nails and a pop of color via her lipstick at the World AIDS Day concert in New York.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And what ain't broke in this case is a sparkly black coat. The singer picked a puff-shouldered Alice + Olivia topper that flatteringly flared over the bump, adding a cozy scarf and rocker boots for the Concert for Valor in Washington, D.C.
AN AWARDS SHOW WARDROBE ON FAST-FORWARD
Ever open your closet and think, I have nothing to wear? Yeah, this girl doesn't. At the 2014 CMA Awards in Nashville, co-host Underwood went through so many outfits – including a dazzling Lorena Sarbu dress, a mint Christian Siriano gown and a two-piece Theia look – one can only assume she did a quick change every time the baby kicked.
YES, IT'S A BOY
We get the hint. Before spilling the beans on live TV, Underwood alluded to the sex of her babe in a vibrant blue dress, which she wore to an appearance on The View in N.Y.C.
WHEN IN DOUBT, GO BACK TO BLACK
Taking a breather from color, the singer returned to the dark side at the Global Citizen Festival in N.Y.C.'s Central Park. It was the perfect backdrop for the smattering of diamonds she accessorized with.
MORE BABY-FRIENDLY COLORS
OK, we take that back about the gender foreshadowing. The mama-to-be got soft and pink in a pastel dress at the ACM Honors in Nashville.
ENSEMBLES THAT MILK THE ATTENTION
A baby bump is all about the big reveal. And the singer did not disappoint when she showed off her belly at summer's Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois, in not a predictable pregnancy-friendly empire waist, but a figure-hugging fun floral romper.
