While Carrie Underwood is pregnant with her first child, her unborn baby boy has got the best seats in the house.

“I feel like he hears me singing whether he would like that or not,” Underwood, 31, told Jimmy Fallon on Monday. “I mean, that’s what I do. He doesn’t have a choice.”

Given his lack of choice in the matter, Underwood has been trying to show her baby some love by making sure that her singing is on point — at all times.

“If I’m just in my car, driving, I feel like I have to make it good because,” she continued in a whisper, “he’s listening. He’s always in there.”

She added: “I just want to do a good job for him!”

Underwood’s husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, should probably abstain from concerts of his own, however.

When asked whether Fisher, 34, sings, Underwood hedged: “He does. Like that. Singing. … He doesn’t actually know the real lyrics to any song. Except for when, like, ‘Whoomp There It Is’ will come on the radio.”

Meanwhile, Fisher has no idea what his wife’s current single is, nor any of the real lyrics to her songs, Underwood jokes.

The happy couple broke the news of their upcoming bundle of joy in September, not long after they celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in July.

Underwood’s baby bump made its big debut at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois, one week after the announcement.
