Brooke Burke blogs about nursery design

Television personality Brooke Burke, a mother of three with one on the way, has had plenty of experience with designing nurseries. The 36-year-old decided to share some of her tips in her latest blog entry at Baboosh Baby.

I wanted to share some info with anyone who is expecting.  I worked with a nursery designer while I was pregnant with Rain. We pulled fabrics together, came up with a color scheme and we discussed all the necessities that a nursery should have.

Designing a room can be overwhelming, and the pieces one might chose may not utilize space in the best way. I found that seeing an actual sketch was really helpful. I highly recommend using a designer and incorporating your own personal touch and desires. A lot of the work can be done via e-mail.

I worked with Tori Swam from New Arrivals. Check out her website,, there you can see many of her celebrity nurseries, and some great pics of Rain’s own.  She saved me so much time and stress.  If it’s in your budget, do it. If not, it is still a great idea to research many different websites for inspiration.

Brooke and fiance, actor David Charvet, 35, are parents to daughter Heaven Rain, 11 months. She has two daughters — Neriah, 7, and Sierra Sky, 5 — with ex-husband Dr. Garth Fisher. Baby #4 is due in March.

Rain wears Tea Collection’s daily tea striped dress ($26).

Rain wears Stride Rite’s Melina t-straps stage 3 in dark brown ($46).

Baboosh Baby, Brooke Burke’s new line of post-partum belly wraps, stretch-mark oils, organic t-shirts and recycled diaper bags, is named after the French term of endearment and is also Rain’s nickname. For more info, check out
