Britney Spears takes the kids to Vegas, Kevin demands their return
Britney Spears’ impromptu trip to Las Vegas has apparently drawn the ire of ex-husband Kevin Federline, and could represent a potential violation of California law as well as the child-custody agreement which governs the former couple. Together with her brother Bryan and her two children — Sean Preston, 22-months, and Jayden James, 10-months — Britney checked into the Wynn Las Vegas yesterday afternoon, directing the resort staff to child-proof her room before her arrival.
The pop star checked out at 5:30 p.m. today, however, after her bodyguard allegedly scuffled with a photographer, accidentally hitting Sean Preston in the process, and Kevin ‘demanded‘ that his ex-wife return with the children to California. Under the laws of that state, neither parent is allowed to take a child across state lines without written permission from the other, or by obtaining a court order. Says a source:
Britney did not have written permission to take the kids out of state. She needs written permission and she never got it or alerted people she was leaving. I’m sure Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is mulling over how to handle this.
