Bobby Cannavale Reveals Meaningful Middle Name of Son with Rose Byrne: 'We're in Bliss Right Now'

The little boy's moniker pays homage to Rose Byrne's father, Cannavale exclusively tells PEOPLE

It’s time to blast “Rockin’ Robin” — Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale have a little Rocco Robin on their hands!

“We just love the name,” Cannavale exclusively told PEOPLE Monday at the launch of Samsung’s flagship experience store, Samsung 837, in New York City’s Meatpacking district.

“His middle name is her dad’s name, Robin, and we liked the way it rang together.”

Byrne, 36, gave birth to the couple’s son on Feb. 1 — news Cannavale, 45, shared in a recent interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“We’re just really, really over the moon,” said Cannavale. “We’re in bliss right now.”

So how is the new mom, who draws big laughs as a perfectionist in Bridesmaids, adjusting to motherhood?

“She’s incredible — she’s what you’d think she’d be,” explained Cannavale. “She’s beautiful and wonderful and he’s a beautiful boy.”

On the heels of becoming a dad for the second time — Jake, Cannavale’s son from a previous relationship, is 20 — the actor received some exciting news from HBO: his new show Vinyl scored a second season. The music drama also stars Olivia Wilde and is executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger.

Reflecting on the renewal news, the show’s leading man quipped, “I just had a new baby, so I felt very excited to have a job for another year.”
