“#3 in the books,” Mitchell wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of the positively perfect cake. “Thank you @polkatots for the magical birthday cake (made of cupcakes) it was truly a magical day at @aufudge.”
The party also served as a late soiree for Mitchell and husband Michael Cameron‘s son Hutton, who turned one in January.
Duff posed with the happy family on Instagram, as well as documented the party on her Snapchat account.
“#besttime celebrating #KenzieAndHutton today,” Duff wrote on the photo app. “@beverleymitchell #HappyBirthday.”
Ahead of the birthday party, Mitchell used WhoSay to celebrate Kenzie’s growth, writing, “Happy birthday sweet girl! Thank you for making me a mommy!!! Can’t believe you are 3! We love you so much!”
Mitchell previously told PEOPLE that being a mom to Kenzie and Hutton was her greatest accomplishment, saying, “nothing has been more important.”
“Being a mommy is the best thing I’ve done,” Mitchell said. “Seeing them embrace life with their fresh eyes and excitement really grounds you and makes you realize what life’s really about.”
