Basketball star Jason Kidd's wife accuses him of abuse during her pregnancy
Amid a list of accusations, including alleged extramarital affairs with strippers and news reporters, binge drinking, excessive gambling, and "years of physical abuse," NBA star Jason Kidd’s wife, Joumana, has said the basketball player physically assaulted her while she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. Joumana’s claims come in the form of a countersuit filed on Feb. 16, in response to Jason’s January 9 divorce petition where he said she was abusive and "increasingly controlling and manipulative."
Of other physical altercations, Joumana says the New Jersey Nets guard began abusing her before their 1997 nuptials and has hit her with all sorts of items, including cookies and large rocks. She adds that Jason once kicked her so hard in her stomach that she began to see blood in her urine. Jason was arrested in 2001 in Arizona for hitting Joumana in the mouth during a dispute. He accepted an assualt plea and was ordered to attend a anger management.
The couple have three children, son Trey Jason (T.J.), and twin daughters Miah and Jazelle. You can click on the link to see a copy of Joumana’s filing.
