Ashton Kutcher had a one-of-a-kind moniker in mind for his new baby boy that would’ve definitely made the list of unusual celebrity baby names.

Though he and wife Mila Kunis already have a name picked out, The Ranch star told Conan O’Brien that he wanted to give his son the name Hawkeye. “There was a rallying cry from a collective that believed in the name Hawkeye,” Kutcher, 38, told the late night host on Wednesday’s episode.

While many may think about the fictional Marvel superhero in the Avengers franchise, the Iowa native was thinking of Alan Alda‘s character Benjamin “Hawkeye” Pierce from a popular 1970s Korean War Mobile Army Surgical Hospital dramedy. “A kid named Hawkeye, it could be M*A*S*H*-y, like he could be a doctor,” the father-to-be joked.

Ironically, Hawkeye “didn’t fly” with Kunis. “Hawkeye Kutcher, it didn’t fly, it didn’t cross the Mila threshold, it came to the threshold but it got knocked out,” he also shared.

In October, Kutcher confirmed the sex of his second child during an appearance on the Today show. He and Kunis, 33, are already parents to 2-year-old daughter Wyatt Isabelle.

The same month while co-hosting Live!, he whispered the official name to Kelly Ripa. “You don’t want everyone else’s opinion on the name,” Kutcher explained later adding, “When we get in the naming process she hates every name I come up with.”

As one of the only few people who know the name, Ripa did give her approval, calling it “established.” With just weeks before Mila’s due date, fans will have to wait and see what that official name will be!
