Ashley Graham Celebrates Son Isaac's First Birthday: 'Can't Remember What Life Was Like Without You'
"It feels like just yesterday that we met," she writes to her son, whom she welcomed Jan. 18, 2020 with husband Justin Ervin
Ashley Graham has learned a lot in her first year as a mom.
The 33-year-old supermodel, 32, shared a sweet birthday tribute to her son Isaac Menelik Giovanni as the boy, whom she shares with husband Justin Ervin, turns 1 year old on Monday. Graham says the child has "changed my life and my heart in ways I couldn't imagine."
"Happy first birthday Isaac! ... I can't believe I'm already writing this, because it feels like just yesterday that we met," she begins an Instagram caption. "But at the same time, I also can't remember what life was like without you. Watching you grow and learn has been the greatest gift."
"I have so many memories from your first year, so I put together a video of 12 things I learned in 12 months 🍼 I'm dedicating it to you and every mother and baby out there," she continues. "This year has taught us just how strong, adaptable, and fierce we can be. Sending love to everyone going through any stage of their motherhood journey during a pandemic!"
"One year down and I can't wait to see where the rest takes us," she concludes.

In the YouTube video, which gives a month-by-month recap of her first year with Isaac, Graham shares her sheer excitement about motherhood. She says she "can't believe" she has a 1-year-old child while sharing personal videos and pictures from 2020.
"January, you were earth-shattering and ground-breaking for me," she says of the month she gave birth to her son. "... I learned to love in a way that I never knew I could love. Never. People tell you, people try to explain it to you, but you don't know love until you have a child of your own like that."
"Happy birthday, Isaac. I love you so much," she says later in the video upload. "I cannot believe how fast this year went, watching everything: how you turned on your own and crawled on your own and started talking and walking on your own. And how we play with the ball, kicking and throwing, and how your Daddy loves you so much and how much I can see you love him back. It's just this beautiful bond."
"I love you to pieces, my little baby boy," she says, giving an air-kiss to the camera.
Speaking to fellow moms, Graham adds that "the challenges may come and go, but the blessings are just so much bigger than the little things that happen every single day."
"Hang in there, remember we've all got each other's back," she says, "and remember how blessed you are to have such a beautiful baby in your hands. A little bit of unsolicited advice, also: Momma knows best ... and you can use that line too whenever you get unsolicited advice from a stranger or a family member or someone that is a neighbor and you don't even like!"
In the video's description, Graham writes: "Motherhood has already taught me so much. I cannot wait for more lessons and even more love in the years ahead. Side note: Am I REALLY the mother of a toddler now???"
