Anna Trebunskaya Expecting Second Child: 'The Timing Is Just Right'
Dancing with the Stars alum Anna Trebunskaya announced the news on social media Wednesday and gave PEOPLE exclusive quotes about her pregnancy
Anna Trebunskaya is pregnant!
The Dancing with the Stars alum and her actor boyfriend, Nevin Millan, are expecting their second child together in September, she confirms to PEOPLE.
The couple are already parents to 3-year-old daughter Amalya.
“We are very excited,” Trebunskaya tells PEOPLE exclusively. “We definitely wanted to have more children than just Amalya, and I think she’s ready to be a big sister, so the timing is just right.”

The dance pro, 36, took to social media on Wednesday to announce the exciting news.
“Well, it looks like @nevinmillan and I will be welcoming another #tinydancer or #littleartist into our family! Amalya is going to be a big sister! #ClearblueConfirmed #ClearbluePartner,” Trebunskaya wrote along with a photo of her and Millan holding a positive pregnancy test.
And according to the soon-to-be mom of two, Amalya seems ready to take on her new older-sibling role.
“She keeps talking about the real baby,” explains Trebunskaya. “Of course, she has baby dolls, but she’s like, ‘I want to hold a baby.’ And I said, ‘Well here’s your baby.’ She’s like, ‘No. I want a real baby.’ And I said, ‘Well, we have a long way, baby. We need to have it hatch. It’s not ready yet.’ ”

For Trebunskaya personally, there has been one big pregnancy surprise this time around.
“I finally got to experience morning sickness and what that’s all about,” she says. “I was very lucky with Amalya. I had no morning sickness at all.”
Although “it’s better now,” the Russian-born dancer says that at times, “some strong smells really get to” her. Thankfully, Millan has been really helping out.
“He’s been great,” shares Trebunskaya. “He knows that trash gives me that feeling, so he’s been really good about that — making sure that the bags are fresh — and some of the things that are a little bit more potent in the smell, he’ll take over that and let me sit outside while things are airing.”
The pair are also currently busy planning their future baby girl or boy’s nursery. “We’re toying with the idea of Amalya sharing a room,” says Trebunskaya. “We think it’s a good experience for kids to grow up together until they’re a certain age, of course — just to learn how to share their space, and to play together, and just that whole experience, I think, is very important.”
“We maybe will do a whole other room. We’re still running with ideas,” she adds, noting she wants the baby to be in hers and Millan’s room for at least the first six months. “Based on my experience with Amalya … you just want to keep them next to you,” she says.
And now that they’re adding a new member to their family, Trebunskaya says that the soon-to-be family of four may need a bigger car — not to mention Amalya will be heading to preschool soon!
“We’re probably going to change cars,” says Trebunskaya. “I’m not ready for a full-on family van yet, but going in that direction!”
