Amber Rose is ready to get her groove on in season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, where she and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy will go head-to-head with the likes of Olympians Laurie Hernandez, Ryan Lochte and more for a shot at the coveted mirror ball trophy.

One bonus that Chmerkovskiy is getting from teaming up with the model and talk-show host? Praise about his ability to wield the skills he will need as a new parent.

“He’s gonna be great, there’s not really much that I have to say,” Rose, who is mom to 3½-year-old son Sebastian Taylor with ex-husband Wiz Khalifa, told PEOPLE Wednesday at the Good Morning America cast reveal party in New York City when asked if she had any advice for the dad-to-be.

“He’s obviously very loving, and very sweet and passionate,” Rose, 32, added of Chmerkovskiy. “He’s gonna be a great dad.”

Chmerkovskiy, 36, is expecting his first child — a baby boy — with his fiancée: fellow DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd. The couple’s son will arrive this winter.

And Rose says that while she might not have any advice for parenting techniques, she has assisted Chmerkovskiy in one specific way.

“I help him out with [apps], [like] to get diapers delivered to the house,” she says. “But I think [he] and Peta have the rest [figured out].”

When asked about whether he’s feeling any exhaustion leading up to his first child‘s arrival, Chmerkovskiy makes it clear he isn’t the one deserving of the sympathy.

“Me? No, I’m not having a baby,” he jokes. “The women do most of the work. We like to say, ‘Oh, it’s hard on the men’ — emotionally, maybe, [because] we have to deal with some mood swings and all that, but the comparison is nothing.

“So that’s why for me to complain, about anything, to do with this pregnancy is just [silly],” he adds.

Season 23 of Dancing With the Stars premieres Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
