Alysia Reiner Gets Extremely Honest About Taking 'Deeply Romantic' Breaks Alone with Her Husband: 'We Need Sex with Noise!'
Intense spousal intimacy is still important when you become a parent, according to the Orange Is the New Black star
The celebrity moms who participate in PEOPLE’s Mom Talk are nothing if not blatantly honest. One subject on the table? Noisy sex with your partner — and how it’s necessary even once you become parents.
And Alysia Reiner, who plays Natalie “Fig” Figueroa on the wildly popular Netflix series Orange Is the New Black and appeared as Wendy Parks in How to Get Away with Murder, is here to tell her fellow moms exactly how she and actor husband David Alan Basche make it happen.

“I kind of suck at ‘Mommy Time,’ I just have to admit, between work and [parenting],” says Reiner, 45, who is mom to 7-year-old Livia Charles. “And my husband needs attention too! Early on, we were really good [about date nights], and we weren’t allowed to talk about the kid on the date.”
So how does that quality time with your spouse evolve when your baby is now a kid and “date night” just doesn’t cut it anymore? Simple: “date weekend.”
“Now we try and go on vacation, just the two of us, at least once a year,” adds Reiner. “Just for a long weekend. And have that deeply romantic, just-about-us time.”
“Just sex,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, 28, cuts in knowingly, while the other women laugh.
“Sex with noise,” Reiner agrees. “Because it’s like … I had sex this morning, but it was really quiet!”
