Ali Fedotowsky-Manno and her husband Kevin Manno celebrated their son — who is expected to arrive in May — with a blue-jean-baby-themed bash on the beach.
"Honestly it was one of the most beautiful days we've had in Southern California in awhile," the former Bachelorette, 33, tells PEOPLE. "It just made the day that more special."
"I felt grateful and so very loved," says Fedotowsky-Manno. "It was the perfect shower."
ALL IN THE DETAILS
"There were so many beautiful touches that made the day so special," Fedotowsky-Manno tells PEOPLE.
The party included decor from Table Top rentals (gold beaded chargers and navy goblets provided by Soiree8), "Oh Boy" stir sticks and a sign by Creative Amme, stationery byXowyo Paper and Press and handmade denim braids by Jesi Haack Design.
Hidden Garden Flowers brought the table to life with gray washed wood boxes and jean fabric, as well as white and blue ceramic Chinoiserie vessels filled with white anemones, lilacs, ranunculus, blue thistle and more.
BLUE JEAN BABY
Fedotowsky-Manno's colleague and friend Orly, who was at the shower, hand made the denim pockets that sat on each place setting. holding the menu and gold flatware
"It was such a fun touch!" she says, adding that due to the "tight timeframe," many of her family and friends from different parts of the country couldn't make it.
"When I looked around and saw all my close girlfriends who are just like family, I felt grateful and so very loved," she says. "This baby boy has so many beautiful, kind, strong and funny women as his aunties!"
Guests dined on "ridiculously yummy" food, but Fedotowsky-Manno's daughter was focused on a sugar rush with treats by Sweet and Saucy Shop.
"She probably loved three things most — all the attention that she was getting from everyone, playing in the sand at the beach and the cake jar!" Fedotowsky-Manno says. "We really very rarely let her eat sweets. I think she's had ice cream once and cake once."
"In fact, the last time she had cake was at her first birthday party. So the cake was really a treat for her!" adds the mom-to-be. "She couldn't get enough of it! And while she was eating it she was dancing and putting on a show for all the girls. It was so precious."
A FAMILY AFFAIR
Fedotowsky-Manno says she is "super grateful" that her husband Kevin and 21-month-old daughter Molly Sullivan could be there for the shower.
"I think a father should always be a part of baby showers," she says. "It's just as much a celebration for them as it is for the mother! And he adores all my friends and feels the exact same way I do about them. We're just so grateful for all of them."
Since this is her second child, Fedotowsky-Manno says things were different when it came to planning this time around.
"We almost didn't have a [shower] because we've been so busy with life in general," she says. "It's crazy because with Molly, there was no question we were having a shower and we planned it months in advance."
