John Legend is shaking things up at The Voice.

The “All of Me” singer is replacing coach Jennifer Hudson and joining Kelly Clarkson and veteran coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton for season 16 of NBC’s hit reality singing competition series and he’s ready to rumble.

In a hilarious promo shared exclusively with PEOPLE, the returning coaches aren’t too concerned about the show’s newest addition despite his many intimidating achievements.

“What are you guys worried about?” Levine asks Shelton and Clarkson.

“I mean, John’s an Emmy winner, a Grammy, Oscar, Tony — it’s a lot,” says Clarkson. Shelton, seeming rather unfazed, responds: “I’m not worried!”

Strolling alongside one another backstage, the trio stumbles upon a colossal keyboard. “Oh my God, I love these,” Levine says as he steps onto the keyboard — inspired by the hit movie Big — and begins to dance around to the tune of Bill Withers’ classic “Lean On Me.”

“Come on,” Clarkson exclaims, before jumping on, grabbing his hand and playing along, as Shelton chimes in with a simple foot tap.

While their natural talent is certainly impressive, the coaches have nothing on Legend. Casually surprising his costars from behind, the singer compliments their performance before showing them how it’s really done.

“You guys sound pretty cool, mind if I jump in?” he says.

Doing what he does best, Legend one-ups his fellow coaches by sliding on the keyboard and picking up where they left off with his own legendary spin on the iconic song.

Watching in awe from the sidelines, Shelton admits he might be in trouble. “Should have seen that coming,” he says, while Levine chuckles. “Now I’m worried,” adds Clarkson, with her hands on her hips.

Giving one last attempt to show off in front of the ordinary people, Legend ends his performance by doing back flips down the keyboard.
