Tina Knowles Lawson is one proud mama!

The 62-year-old mother of two sent out a sweet Instagram message on Thursday in support of her youngest daughter, Solange Knowles — whose new album, A Seat at the Table, dropped Friday.

The post channels Kanye West‘s infamous 2009 MTV VMAs moment, in which he interrupted Taylor Swift‘s win to give a shout out to Beyoncé.

“I’m sorry Solange — I’m a let you finish,” Knowles Lawson wrote — captioning a photo of a social media post of Solange’s. “But I have to say that I have to finish.”

She went on to explain how she had often had conversations about Solange with daughter Beyoncé, close family friend Kelly Rowland and niece Angie Beyince.

“Beyonce and myself and Kelly and Angie have often had conversations about you saying ‘we will cherish the day that the world knows how talented and creative and amazing an artist you are!’ ” she explained. “I do believe that the day has arrived.”

Knowles Lawson continued: “Thank you Almighty God!!! You are-awesome and thank you to all the fans who supported this record you are awesome also !!”

A Seat at the Table has been getting rave reviews from critics and celebrities alike. The fourth studio album from Knowles, it took the 30-year-old singer almost four years to complete. It boasts 21 tracks written by Solange, with special guests Lil Wayne, Kelela, Q-Tip, The-Dream, Dev Hynes, and Rowland.

In a press release, Knowles described the album as “a project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief, and healing.”

“Don’t eveeer let anyone write your story for you,” she wrote on Instagram. “They can talk, they can doubt, and they can say what they wanna, but only you have the words to narrate this ting we call life. So much gratitude for all of your wishes. So much gratitude for love. So much gratitude for freedom. So much gratitude for life.”

The album is available to download now.
