Entertainment Music Sing Out Loud! Watch Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson & More Channel Taylor Swift These stars sure know how to 'shake it off' By Grace Gavilanes Updated on January 17, 2017 12:29 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Xia Vigor is our new hero. The 7-year-old songstress put her singing chops on full display while participating on the hit Filipino singing and impersonation competition TV show, Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids, where she belted out Taylor Swift’s “You Belong with Me.” And we’re not the only ones who are impressed with Xia’s performance — the spot-on impression (with poses and facial expressions to boot!) earned rave reviews from the show’s judges. Joining the pint-sized pop princess are a slew of unexpected stars — ranging from Steve Carell to Zayn Malik — who have declared their love for Swift’s music by performing their own covers of “Shake It Off” and “Bad Blood,” just to name a few. Britney Spears While stopping by The Jonathan Ross Show, Spears showed off her vocal range while inhaling a helium-filled balloon. “You can sing one of your own, you can sing a popular song – something we all know,” the talk show host instructed. Her song of choice? Swift’s “Shake It Off.” Kelly Clarkson The American Idol alumna performed a stripped-down version of the singer’s dance anthem, “Shake It Off,” which started off soulful before bursting into full-on pop mode for the chorus. “I love that song,” Clarkson said. “Seriously, everyone gives Taylor such a hard time, but she can write a hook – I’m just sayin’.” Selena Gomez When a celebrity is invited to belt out hit songs on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, you just know it’s bound to be a memorable time – and Gomez’s turn was no exception. Following her rendition of “Come and Get It” (which she performed on a rollercoaster!), the songstress joined the show host for a special cover of her BFF’s 1989 staple, “Shake It Off.” Steve Carrell So, this is what goes on in the funnyman’s head? When asked what song Carrell can’t stop singing, the actor was quick to start singing Swift’s “Shake It Off.” Meghan Trainor Swift’s original “Shake It Off” is known for being a dance anthem, but Trainor totally transforms the hit single with the help of two guitars and a slow tempo. Ryan Adams Color us impressed! Adams took his penchant for Swift’s 1989 one step further and released his own album, covering each of the singer’s songs, in 2015. Jesse Tyler Ferguson https://www.instagram.com/p/wVlHYmqgir/ Because nothing makes us happier than listening to (and replaying) the Modern Family star’s dramatic cover of Swift’s upbeat “Shake It Off.” Zayn Malik Talk about a throwback! Before making it big in One Direction and serving as one-half of Hollywood’s hottest couple (oh hey, Gigi!), Malik was a fresh-faced teen who regularly posted cover songs. Here, he lends his voice to Swift’s “You Belong with Me” … with edited lyrics. Charli XCX We can’t tell which version we like more: Swift’s original “Shake It Off” or Charli XCX’s punk cover. Jessie J Always one to deliver memorable performances, Jessie J took to BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to give her best rendition of Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble.”
