Solange‘s appearance on Saturday Night Live turned into a family affair.

Both big sister Beyoncé and mom Tina Knowles-Lawson were on hand at Studio 8H for Solange’s debut on the sketch show, and they weren’t afraid to keep up some long-standing family traditions on the iconic stage.

In one video shared on Instagram, Beyoncé and Knowles-Lawson easily pick Solange up for a photo op — despite her protests. “I’m 30 years old!” she jokingly yells as they get into the pose, clearly having done this a few times before.

“She’s still our baby,” Knowles-Lawson captioned the post. “We have Been picking her up like this since she was 10 yrs old.”

Solange wasn’t the only one who got in on the Bey and Jay fun. The superstar duo attended the SNL afterparty and hung out with cast members, including an understandably enthusiastic Leslie Jones.

Jones also got to snap a picture with Jay Z while backstage.

Like any proud mother, Knowles-Lawson also shared multiple photos on Instagram bragging about her talented daughter, including a photo backstage of Solange in full costume and the singer’s face on a candy bar.

“My baby had her own chocolate bar at Saturday Night Live!” she captioned the photo.

Solange nailed her performances of “Don’t Touch My Hair” and “Cranes in the Sky,” tunes from her new No. 1 album A Seat at the Table. Perhaps she asked her big sis for some advice, as Beyoncé has appeared as SNL‘s musical guest — both as a solo artist and part of Destiny’s Child —four times, in addition to numerous cameo appearances.
