Solange Knowles dropped her new album, A Seat At the Table on Friday and everyone is obsessed

Solange Knowles released her new album, A Seat at the Table, on Friday. And judging by how celebrities are talking about it on the Internet, it appears to be the must-have accessory for fall.

The fourth studio album from the youngest Knowles, the album took the 30-year-old singer almost four years to complete. It boasts 21 tracks written by Solange, with special guests Lil Wayne, Kelela, Q-Tip, The-Dream, Dev Hynes, Kelly Rowland.

Knowles’ last release was the EP True in 2012.

In a press release, Knowles described the album as “a project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief, and healing.”

She got more personal about it on her 30th birthday, in an Instagram post announcing she had completed it just hours before the milestone celebration.

“Don’t eveeer let anyone write your story for you,” she captioned the post, after giving a timeline of her lifetime milestones. “They can talk, they can doubt, and they can say what they wanna, but only you have the words to narrate this ting we call life. So much gratitude for all of your wishes. So much gratitude for love. So much gratitude for freedom. So much gratitude for life. ”

The stars, meanwhile, couldn’t hold their excitement back on Friday.

“Congrats to my sister on creating this beautiful work of art,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram. “I could not be more proud of you @saintrecords. A Seat At The Table is available today!”

“Go Awwwwf,” Missy Elliott wrote on Twitter. “I’m souped up & Supa proud of u sis!”

“Solange album beautiful,” said Calvin Harris. “Also God bless Raphael Saadiq for the vibes my favorite producer of all time.”

“Solange just gives me icon vibes all day…” said Kat Graham.

“I think we all know our plan for the weekend. Beautiful, @saintrecords,” said Lena Dunham.

Rashida Jones, meanwhile, was all applause.

The album’ came the same day Netflix released its latest Marvel series Luke Cake. Their first title lead by a black superhero, the timing of the two releases weren’t lost on many – including Rosario Dawson.

“From #LukeCage to @Solange today is a great day…!” she said. #ForUsByUs ‘Solange brings everyone A Seat At The Table.’ ”

Tracee Ellis Ross shared her love for her pal. “So much #BlackGirlMagic,” she wrote. “I just love you @SaintRecords!!”

Meanwhile, Knowles’ mother Tina Knowles was extra-happy about the release.

“Well the album is out on iTunes!” the matriarch captioned a photo of Solange’s album cover. “It is a must hear record! Please get it and tell me your favorite songs. I wonder will it match my favorite songs. It’s hard to pick but soo far ‘Cranes in the sky’ and ‘Mad.’ Don’t miss out on your ‘Seat at the table’ uh oh just added ‘Don’t touch my hair’ it’s soo beautiful!”
