Sam Asghari Praises Britney Spears for Entering Wellness Facility: 'People Should Only Be Inspired'
Sam Asghari is one of a number of friends and family members who have publicly wished Britney Spears the best after it was revealed that she'd entered a wellness facility
The 25-year-old shared a sweet note to his Instagram on Wednesday night, shortly after the news became public. “Fall in love with taking care of yourself. Mind. Body. Spirit,” read the panel of text, regrammed from Spears herself.
He captioned the image with the words: “It isn’t weakness, It’s a sign of absolute strength, people should only be inspired by this, at least I am.”
Asghari is one of a number of friends and family members who have publicly wished Spears the best. Her ex-husband Kevin Federline “commends” her for the decision to seek help, Entertainment Tonight reported on Wednesday.
“Kevin commends Britney for recognizing that she needs to take a step back and that she is taking reasonable steps to dealing with her situation in a responsible way,” Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told ET. “He wishes everyone well.”
It is believed that the sons that they share — Sean Preston, 13, and Jayden James, 12 — will stay with Federline while Spears seeks treatment.
In honor of #WomanCrushWednesday, Jamie Lynn shared an adorable throwback photo from her first day of school, where she was captured beaming as she stepped off the bus in her polo, denim skirt, and backpack. Right behind her was Britney, who stuck her tongue out for the camera.
Spears, 37, initially posted the photo of a quote on Instagram on Wednesday, along with the caption: “We all need to take time for a little ‘me time.’ :)”
A source told PEOPLE exclusively that the singer checked into a facility for “all-encompassing wellness treatment.”
According to another source close to the family, “Britney just needed to focus on herself” as she cares for her father Jamie after his “life-threatening” colon rupture.
While gearing up for a return to the Las Vegas strip with her show Domination after taking wildly successful Vegas show Britney: Piece of Me on tour over the summer, Spears announced that she was taking an indefinite break from work in January to support her father.
“Her dad being sick has taken a toll on her,” the source close to the family told PEOPLE. “He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He’s not doing well. They’re so close and it has been a lot. There is nothing dramatic going on with her — she just realized she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself.”
