The Grammy-winning singer appeared on Chelsea Handler‘s Netflix show to chat about her first boyfriend in the spotlight. “Yeah, this is the first time having a boyfriend and being public with it, not first-time ever but in the famous life,” Trainor, 22, told Handler in the episode that will premiere on Wednesday. Earlier this month, the “Better” songstress confirmed her relationship status with a lovey-dovey Instagram post. But it appears they’ve been dating for closer to “three months.” Source: Meghan Trainor/Instagram And turns out she didn’t need to bother swiping right on dating apps to find a boyfriend, a famous friend played cupid! “I asked every person I met since day one, ‘Find me a boyfriend!’ Like, especially new friends too. Chloë Grace Moretz is a friend of mine, and day one of meeting her, I was like, ‘You know anybody that I could date? Or love? Whatever,'” Trainor recalled. “And she’s like, ‘I know the nicest guy in the world, Daryl, and you should meet him.’ I was like, ‘Daryl? Okay.'” While Sabara is best known for starring as Juni Cortez in the Spy Kids franchise, he’s also a musician. “He plays guitar and piano and sings to me all the time,” Trainor shared, adding, “We sing Justin Timberlake all the time.” In fact, they’ve already written “three songs together” while traveling on her tour.
