'My Heart Aches for You': Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan Support Louis Tomlinson After Mother's Death
Louis Tomlinson‘s mother died of leukemia on Wednesday, and now friends are taking to Twitter to support the One Direction member through his heartbreak
Louis Tomlinson‘s mother Johannah Deakin succumbed to leukemia on Wednesday morning at age 43, and now friends as well as fans are taking to Twitter to support the One Direction member in this devastating time.
Liam Payne shared a lengthy emotional message to his bandmate via the social media platform. “Louis, I’m so sorry for you my brother. My heart aches for you. Just know I love you the same from a million miles away as I do right next to you. I’m always here for you through everything as you have been for me. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this incredibly sad time. I can’t begin to imagine what you are all going through. RIP Johanna you are forever in my thoughts.”
Payne’s girlfriend, former X Factor judge Cheryl, also added her good wishes.
Bandmate Niall Horan also offered his condolences via Twitter. “Very sad news. Louis I love you mate and I’m / all of us are here for you all the way. [Your] mum was an incredible person. Thinking of you and your family. Love from my family to yours.”
He also received a kind message from former 1D-er Zayn Malik, a touching reminder that their friendship remains intact despite their professional split.
Briana Jungwirth, Tomlinson’s ex and mother of his son Freddie, shared her own message on Instagram. “My heart aches. Every time I look at Freddie I see him in you, Jay. I will always remember the times we shared and talks we had … I aspire to be just like you in a mother to Freddie. I promise to share with him all of what I know of your beautiful attributes,” she wrote. “We both loved you very much. You’ll always stay close forever in our hearts.”
Simon Cowell, the media mogul, X Factor host, and mastermind behind the One Direction project, also sent reassuring words, as did ex-Wanted boybander Nathan Sykes, and British pop star Ollie Murs.
The most poignant message came from Tomlinson’s own sister, Félicité, who simply posted the image of a broken heart.
Tomlinson, 24, will go through with his previously scheduled appearance on The X Factor on Saturday as her final wish.
According to a source, Deakin, a midwife, had been looking forward to Tomlinson’s appearance on the stage where he first found fame with his One Direction band mates — and told PEOPLE that Tomlinson decided to proceed with the appearance in her honor.
