"We've been friends for a long time," Donald Trump said of Kanye West at Trump Tower on Tuesday

Kanye West met with President-elect Donald Trump during his trip to New York City on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old rapper was seen entering New York’s Trump Tower with his entourage, including a videographer and Kris Jenner‘s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, just after 9 a.m.

“We’ve been friends for a long time,” the 70-year-old business mogul told reporters as he posed for photos with the rapper. He added that the pair met to discuss “life.”

West and the President-elect stood close to each other and smiled as cameras flashed. The “Ultralight Beam” rapper gave no answer when reporters asked whether he’d perform at Inauguration Day and if he still planned to run for president in 2020.

“I just want to take a picture right now,” West said with a smile.

The two hugged and shook hands before parting ways.

West isn’t the only high-profile visitor to Trump Tower lately. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who publicly fundraised and campaigned for Hillary Clinton in the months preceding the election, also had a meeting with Trump, though details on what they discussed were not available.

The rapper’s meeting comes weeks after was hospitalized for exhaustion and sleep deprivation on Nov. 21. He has since been spotted riding a BMX bike in Los Angeles and visiting an exhibition in West Hollywood — all with a new hairdo.

The star has been in New York City in recent days, apartment hunting with Gamble and spending time at a recording studio.

Last month, West made headlines as he canceled the remaining 21 dates of his Saint Pablo tour following a lengthy rant about stars like Jay Z and Beyoncé, and declaring his support of Trump.

“I told y’all I didn’t vote right? …But if I were to have voted, I would have voted for Trump,” he said, prompting “boos” from the audience at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
