Are Kim and Kanye Headed for Divorce? 'This Is Just Not True' Says West Source Amid Growing Reports
A source tells PEOPLE that reports of Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West's imminent divorce are "just not true"
Between Kanye West‘s recent hospitalization and Kim Kardashian West‘s traumatic Paris robbery in October, it’s a “tense time” for the couple, sources tell PEOPLE. But despite the strain, a source close to West denies that a split is imminent.
“This divorce stuff is completely false,” the insider tells PEOPLE. “Kim does not have any plans to divorce Kanye. She’s told me it’s false. The picture that’s being painted is that she is planning on leaving him because of the robbery and this [hospitalization] incident.”
West, 39, was hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center for exhaustion and sleep deprivation shortly after he canceled the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo tour Nov. 21, and remained there over the Thanksgiving holiday. He was released from UCLA last week.
Though Kardashian West, 36, was a constant presence by her husband’s bedside while he remained hospitalized, an insider told PEOPLE she was “overwhelmed” by the situation and concerned about West’s relationship with their children, North, 3½, and Saint, who just turned 1.
“Kanye isn’t at home with Kim and the kids,” the source says. “He is instead receiving outpatient care elsewhere with a medical team. Kim still seems concerned but is supportive. They don’t know for how long Kanye will need outpatient care.”
But despite their complicated living arrangement, the West source dismisses any talk that the pair are headed for divorce. “This is just not true. Despite all of their trials this year, they remain very much committed to their marriage and their family.”
