Joe Jonas Makes Fun of Brother Nick's '18' Weddings as He Opens Up About His Own Marriage Plans
Joe Jonas revealed when he and fiancée Sophie Turner are planning on tying the knot
Joe, 29, stopped by The Late Late Show with James Corden on Monday night alongside brothers Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas, for the Jonas Brothers‘ first appearance of several throughout the week surrounding their recent reunion announcement.
During their visit, Joe revealed when he and fiancée Turner, 23, are planning to tie the knot — and poked fun at both of his brothers’ weddings.
“Well, we’re going to get married this year,” Joe revealed, to cheers from the audience.
“We’re going to have a summer wedding, which I’m looking forward to,” he added. “It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
“You know, her family’s all from England,” the singer continued. “I thought for the first time I’d be marrying into a family where I would become a soccer fan, a football fan, find my allegiance for a team.”
“So her whole family doesn’t like football, they like rugby. So now I have to figure that out and we’re gonna have a flag rugby game at the wedding and a flag football game. So if all the groomsmen show up with black eyes and broken arms, I’ll be proud,” Joe laughed.
When host James Corden asked Joe if he had picked up any tips from either of his brothers’ weddings, Joe joked, “Mostly things not to do.”
“They were both absolutely beautiful,” Joe said, adding cheekily, “all 18 of Nick’s was amazing.”
“Kevin had a snowstorm during his wedding, which was fantastic,” Joe continued, “so maybe don’t get married in December. And then for Nick, there was quite a few, but I would say stick to one. One and done!”

Though the pair officially only had two weddings — one western Christian wedding and one Hindu wedding — the weddings kicked off weeks of parties, receptions and ceremonies in India and in the United States to celebrate the couple’s nuptials.
In February, Chopra, 36, joked on The Late Late Show that she had “32” wedding ceremonies, before insisting the occasion was “conservative” compared to other Indian celebrations.
“[We had] two weddings,” she said. “One western Christian wedding and one Hindu wedding for our religions. Otherwise, we had pre-rituals. Indian pre-rituals can go on for like five days. Mine was just two. I was conservative!”
The Jonas Brothers released their first new song in nearly six years on Friday, a catchy pop hit called “Sucker” about being head-over-heels in relationships. “I’m a sucker for you/Say the word and I’ll go anywhere blindly/Any road you take you know that you’ll find me,” they sing in the tune.
According to the brothers, “Sucker” is just the beginning of what they have in store for their reunion.
“We’ve got a lot of songs that are recorded,” Joe said during an interview on Friday. “When we figured out what the sound was going to be like — balancing Nick’s sound, DNCE’s sound, and Kevin bringing so much heart into it — has been really incredible. It was just really important to blend the three. We have 30-40 songs that we are excited to release, so I think in the next few months you’re going to hear more.”
