Joe Jonas is all for a little experimenting in the bedroom.

On DNCE‘s new album, the star sings about S&M on “Be Mean,” and Jonas reveals the track was inspired by his real-life experience in a new interview with PrideSource.

“Everyone should try a little bit of something new in the bedroom,” says the singer, 27. “It’s definitely fun when you bring some whips and leather and whatever you may be into — a little bit of S&M — into the bedroom.”

Though he didn’t name his partner in the bedroom, Jonas admits he and the mystery girl “maybe busted some outfits out.”

“You know, you get a little crazy,” he added. “It’s a fun song, and I hope people can have fun with it and learn from it.”

Jonas — who was recently linked to Games of Thrones star Sophie Turner — has certainly come a long way from losing his virginity to Ashley Greene. The entertainer caused waves earlier this year when he opened up about that particular experience.

“I didn’t have any condoms,” Joe explained on a Reddit Ask Me Anything chat. “So I went to our drummer Jack’s room — who was my roommate at the time — and I demolished his room looking for them. [I] found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished.”

“I was in dire need,” Joe added. “Needed to happen then and now. Safety first, kids.”
