Nothing can stand in the way of beautiful music!

Jennifer Lopez and ex-husband Marc Anthony are collaborating on a new Spanish-language album, due out in 2017, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Anthony will executive produce the new Lopez album, from which the first single is scheduled to hit airwaves in November, according to Billboard, who was first to report the news.

The duo – who share 8-year-old twins Emme and Max – have remained friendly in the five years since they split and even shared the stage in New York City earlier this summer.

Lopez’s album is her first all-Spanish offering since 2007’s Como Ama Una Mujer, which was also co-produced by Anthony.

“I am so excited and really looking forward to this new musical journey and to celebrate my Latin roots with Marc Anthony and the Sony/Magnus family,” Lopez said in a statement to Billboard.

Added Anthony in a statement: “[Jennifer] has had enormous accomplishments in her career and has been representing our culture all over the world from day one. Her artistry, professionalism and passion for music are just some of the many attributes that have earned her a unique place in the entertainment world that very few people have been able to obtain. I am looking forward to our creative collaboration and to be part of continuing her musical legacy.”

Anthony and Lopez are continuously supportive of each other. The singer and his wife Shannon De Lima even attended the pop star’s Las Vegas show this year.

Lopez gave him a sweet shoutout during the performance, saying, “You’re an international legend and icon, but you’re also my baby daddy.”

In addition to the album, Lopez, 47, is busy filming the second season of her hit series, Shades of Blue.
