So Sweet! Taylor Swift Skips Grammy Awards, Attends BAFTAs Afterparty with Boyfriend Joe Alwyn
The 61st Annual Grammy Awards are broadcasting live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS
The pop star, 29, won’t attend the 2019 soirée on Sunday in Los Angeles, marking the second consecutive year she has chosen not to attend. The last time she was at a Grammys was in 2016 for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.
Instead, Swift was spotted supporting boyfriend Joe Alwyn at the BAFTA Awards afterparty in London just hours before the Grammys. The 10-time winner also posted an Instagram celebrating Alwyn’s movie The Favourite picking up seven awards at the ceremony.
“AHHHHH @thefavouritemovie just won 7 @bafta awards !!! Bout to go give some high fives – thanks @stellamccartney for this dressss,” Swift wrote.
British newspaper The Sun‘s executive editor Dan Wootton spotted the couple at the party, where they were seen getting affectionate.
Wootton posted pictures on his Instagram showing Swift sweetly hugging Alwyn and nuzzling his neck.
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTAs) were held on Sunday at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Her boyfriend Joe Alwyn is a costar in the film The Favourite, which scored 12 nominations.
Swift earned one nomination this year for her reputation album in the best pop vocal album category.
On Friday, Swift was spotted on a pub date in London Alwyn, 27. The two stayed close to each other, linking arms as they walked back to the car. At one point, Swift flashed her signature grin in her boyfriend’s direction.
Swift has been in London, where she continues to film the upcoming movie adaptation of the hit musical, Cats. In January, the 10-time Grammy winner revealed she will be playing the role of Bombalurina.
