Jesse Williams Leaves Demi Lovato at the Altar in Heartbreaking 'Tell Me You Love Me' Video
The Mark Pellington-directed clip begins with a rapid-fire montage of a giddy proposal—and the steamy celebration—before jealousy and doubt threaten to consume their relationship. But amidst the dramatic fighting, Lovato intones the song’s title.
Smash cut to the 25-year-old singer, draped in a white veil and a lacy Lazaro gown, strolling down the aisle for her Southern gothic-style outdoor wedding. Shots of Lovato belting the slow-burning tune, the titular track to her recent hit album, are intercut with the picturesque—but ultimately tragic—nuptials.

“This song is one of my favorites which is why I named my album after it,” Lovato said in a statement accompanying the video. “I not only love singing it but I think the underlying meaning is important for people to know. At the end of the day you have everything you need standing right in front of you. And that’s yourself.”
According to Lovato, the extras in the video will probably attend her own ceremony—someday. “We had a full-on wedding and my best friends were even my bridesmaids and groomsmen. The locations were absolutely beautiful. It was perfect and I’m so excited to show everyone!”
Lovato teased fans last week by sharing a photo of herself in a wedding gown on Instagram. Then, on Monday, she followed it up a (fairly convincing) Save the Date.
