Four months after first being spotted together, Demi Lovato and designer Henry Levy have called it quits.

A source close to Lovato, 26, confirms exclusively to PEOPLE the couple are no longer dating. And despite reports, Levy was never the singer’s sober companion, adds the source.

The exes were first linked in November after they were photographed together on a sushi dinner date in Los Angeles shortly after the “Confident” singer left a treatment facility following an overdose.

Then in December, Lovato and Levy showed off some PDA at Nobu in Malibu before driving off in the same car together. They also rang in the new year together with a trip to Aspen.

Levy last shared a photo of the pair in France on Jan. 14.

On Tuesday, PEOPLE confirmed the singer recently sought further treatment at a facility outside of Los Angeles.

“She has not relapsed since she overdosed. She did recently go to a facility, but it was her own decision,” said the source. “It was one trip to a treatment facility for a few weeks outside of Los Angeles.”

Now back home in L.A., Lovato is “taking care of herself and is in a positive place,” added the source. “She’s working out and getting back in the studio to make music.”
