David Foster Admits He 'Won the Lottery' as Katharine McPhee Says She 'Can't Wait to Marry' Him
David Foster and Katharine McPhee got engaged in July 2018
Clearly missing her husband-to-be, McPhee — who’s currently in London, starring in the musical Waitress — penned a loving tribute to Foster, 69.
“Far away from each other but still can’t wait to marry you @davidfoster,” she wrote in an Instagram Story post on Sunday, as she showed off her stunning diamond engagement ring.
Commenting on her own appearance, McPhee, 34, added, “Yes, I have a full face of makeup on. Probably won’t wash it off either till tomorrow.”
Reposting the sweet image on his own feed, Foster sweetly captioned the image, “🎼I won the lottery!!!”
Although the pair have yet to announce a wedding date, McPhee has been slowly preparing for their nuptials — including finding the perfect dress to wear when she walks down the aisle.
In an Instagram post last month, McPhee shared a photo of herself trying on wedding dresses with Jordan Foster, the stylist daughter of her fiancé.
“Wedding dress fittings today with @jordiefos! It was such a happy day,” McPhee captioned a photo of herself posing in a long veil and a floor-length backless dress.
McPhee went on to reveal that the dress wasn’t her final pick, she “just wanted to share.”

However, there is one thing the star decidedly does not have time for right now: haters.
Giving her followers an update on the struggles of narrowing down her bridesmaids selection, McPhee wrote, “Picking your bridal party is like a real life Myspace top 8.”
Looking to rain on her planning parade, one angry social media user replied, “Except MySpace lasted longer than this marriage ever will.”
This particular remark warranted two cents from McPhee. In a screenshot of the photo captured by Comments By Celebs, the singer was clearly over it when it came to letting trolls jab at her relationship with the famed musician.
In response to the social media user, the singer and actress replied, “I’m assuming it also lasted longer than any relationship you ever had with a hairdresser?”
This will be the second marriage for McPhee, who was previously wed to Nick Cokas, and the fifth for Foster, who was most recently married to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid.
