Christina Aguilera is heading to Sin City!

The powerhouse singer and six-time Grammy winner, 38, announced on Tuesday that she’ll be headlining a new Las Vegas residency show. Christina Aguilera: The Xperiencewill open at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Friday, May 31, 2019.

Aguilera stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to gush about the good news. “I’m so excited,” she told DeGeneres. “I still want to see my fans all over, but how much easier for everyone to come to one place and fill the venue with fantasy and love and excitement?”

The mother of two went on to explain that the Vegas residency has been in talks for “quite a few years,” but that she had taken a break for almost a decade to focus on mothering son Max Liron, 11, and daughter Summer Rain, 4.

Eventually, Aguilera’s desire to get back to music inspired her to tour her latest album, Liberation, last year. “I had to get back to my heart and my soul and my fans and what I love to do best,” she told DeGeneres.

Getting her feet wet with that tour — and seeing how well her kids did on the road — helped Aguilera decide that now was the time for Vegas.

“I’m a mama bear,” Aguilera said. “I love my kids, I believe in routines. If they’re happy, I’m happy… And my kids were awesome [on tour]. [Summer], she was mad at me whenever I didn’t end the show with taking her on the stage with me. It was amazing. It was in her heart. It was definitely in her blood. And my son, he would love to get up there and do the Fortnite dances.”

Vegas will “be a little easier with the kids,” admitted Aguilera, who is engaged to fiancé Matthew Rutler.

Currently, 16 performances of Aguilera’s Vegas residency are scheduled — from May 31 through June 16, and Sept. 20 through Oct. 5. All shows begin at 9 p.m.

Tickets, starting at $60, go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. PT.

Fan pre-sale tickets for those signed up will be available starting Wednesday (at 10 a.m. PT) through Friday (at 10 p.m. PT). An American Express pre-sale also begins Wednesday (at 12 p.m. PT) and runs through Friday (at 10 p.m. PT). There’s also a pre-sale for Caesars Rewards members, Caesars Entertainment’s loyalty program, and Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers beginning Thursday (10 a.m. PT) through Friday (at 10 p.m. PT). And if that weren’t enough, DeGeneres is offering her viewers access to pre-sale tickets from Thursday (at 10 a.m. PT) to Friday (at 10 a.m. PT).

The Xperience is going to be my most ambitious show yet,” Aguilera said in a statement. “Getting to perform in this adult playground we call Las Vegas is inspiring me to bring forth all of my talents in a mind-blowing theatrical experience – song, dance, visuals and uninterrupted high energy.”

“For years I have been collecting ideas and concepts that have yet to be implemented on my stages, and Las Vegas is the perfect opportunity for me to collectively showcase my artistry,” she continued. “I cannot wait to bring you into The Xperience.”

Liberation was Aguilera’s first new studio album since 2012’s Lotus.

Her setlist from her Liberation Tour included many tunes from the album — like “Fall in Line,” “Maria,” and “Accelerate” — as well as old favorites like “Fighter,” “Beautiful,” “Ain’t No Other Man,” “Genie in a Bottle,” “Lady Marmalade,” “Dirrty,” and “Can’t Hold Us Down.”

Aguilera was last on stage to ring in 2019 for a live performance from New York City’s Times Square that was broadcast on ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve.
