Some of music’s biggest artists will appear on NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly television spectacular this year. The hours leading up to the ball drop will be broadcast live from New York City’s Times Square. Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys and Pentatonix are set to take to the stage at the annual event to perform their biggest hits for the massive crowd. “New Year’s Eve is always a thrilling night to broadcast live from Times Square,” Daly said in a statement. “The excitement of the ball dropping, great music and millions of friends and families coming together to celebrate is incomparable.” “This will be my 14th year on NBC ringing in the new year in Times Square, and there’s no place I’d rather be.” Mel B will host alongside Daly. The announcement comes just a day after Pentatonix secured a Grammy nomination for their collaboration with Dolly Parton on her iconic track, “Jolene.” RELATED VIDEO: Alicia Keys Talks Her Best Album Yet Meanwhile, Shelton’s appearance on the special will follow that of his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani — who performed at last year’s event, ringing in 2016 with her hit “Used to Love You.”
