Fresh from attending his cousin’s high school prom last weekend, Drake took to the stage Sunday to perform at 2017 Billboard Music Awards.

The Canadian rapper, who also received 22 nominations, revved up the audience not inside the T-Mobile Arena, but outside the show on the Las Vegas strip in the center of the epic Bellagio Hotel fountain to perform his song “Gyalchester.”

As he and a hype man worked the floating circular platform, the legendary Bellagio water show went off, coordinated to his music.

The rapper won a staggering 10 awards in an early announcement Sunday just before the show’s start, ending the night with 13 total, breaking Adele’s record.


In March, the 30-year-old released his More Life playlist, making it the Toronto singer’s seventh album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Earlier in the night the star gave an acceptance speech gushing about everyone from the show’s host Vanessa Hudgens to his on-again pal and label-mate Nicki Minaj.

The Billboard Music Awards are airing live on ABC.
