Val Kilmer‘s health is looking up.

Two months after Kilmer was seen with what looked to be a tracheostomy tube around his neck, the actor appears to be on the mend.

Kilmer, 56, was spotted running errands in London on Saturday – and this time without the breathing device.

The actor, who usually keeps his neck covered with a bandana or scarf, left the top buttons of his white shirt open, exposing his bare neck.

On Jan. 24, Kilmer posted a photo of himself smiling alongside Will Forte and Jorma Taccone, once again leaving the area uncovered. A faint scar can be seen where the tracheostomy tube once was.

Kilmer also appears to be more active in recent months, posting pictures of himself in Miami and London to his Facebook.

While he never addressed the breathing tube, he denied any health issues through the social media site back in October, dispelling rumors that he had a tumor after being spotted at the UCLA Medial Center.

“Thank you all for your love and support. There’s a rumor I’m unwell again and in hospital which is totally untrue. I was in to verify I have no tumor or infection of any kind which was verified by the very caring experts at UCLA,” he wrote at the time.

Prior to Kilmer’s October visit, the actor was rushed to the hospital in January to undergo tests for a possible tumor.

“I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU,” Kilmer told fans following his release from the medical center a year ago.
