Michelle Williams is earning rave reviews for her performance in Manchester by the Sea, but her red carpet style is also catching attention.
The star walked the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of her new movie on Tuesday, dazzling crowds in a one-shoulder shimmery dress.
The Oscar-nominee stars as Randi, the estranged wife of Lee Chandler (Casey Affleck), who returns to their small town to care for his dead brother’s 16-year-old son.
Williams is already receiving Oscar buzz for her noteworthy role in the film.
An emotional encounter between Affleck and Williams’ characters was singled out by critics after the film’s debut at the Sundance Film Festival this year, according to Entertainment Weekly.
“We kept putting it off,” Williams said. “It was like walking up to the guillotine or something. There was a lot of anticipation and dread. And then it was over!”
The drama, directed by Kenneth Lonergan, opens in theaters on Nov. 18.
