Joseph Gordon-Levitt Reach Thrilling New Heights in the Trailer for The Walk
The epic drama chronicles Philippe Petit's daring walk between the Twin Towers in 1974
Prepare to be amazed.
In the new trailer for The Walk, Joseph Gordon-Levitt reaches new heights (with a new accent) as Philippe Petit – a French aerialist who famously and illegally walked a tight-rope between the Twin Towers in 1974.
The trailer opens with a breathtaking climb up 110 stories to the top of the World Trade Center where Gordon-Levitt balances against a 1970s New York skyline. The Walk tells the story of Petit’s incredible stunt and the international band of conspirators who helped him infiltrate the Twin Towers to pull it off.
Robert Zemeckis directed the film that was shot specifically for 3D IMAX. Gordon-Levitt stars alongside Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, Ben Schwartz, Steve Valentine and Charlotte Le Bon.
The epic PG-rated drama will hit theaters Oct. 2.
