The kid from Big is all grown up and making a new wish to the Zoltar machine… more money for his movie!

David Moscow, best known for his role as the young Josh Baskin alongside Tom Hanks in the 1988 film Big, is trying his hand at working behind the camera, and is directing his first feature.

The now 40-year-old actor, who previously dated Kerry Washington, has completed principle photography on his directorial debut. The thriller, titled Desolation, is about a small town girl who follows a handsome young actor to Hollywood and finds herself confronted by mysterious and evil forces.

While the film’s been shot, Moscow has started a Kickstarter and is asking fans to donate funds for the expensive post-production process.

His page features a funny short video that has Moscow reenacting classic scenes from Big. In one sequence, the actor, wearing a Big red letterman jacket, stops by the Zoltar machine from the film and asks for the money he needs to finish the project.

He also recreates the iconic neighborhood scene, where Josh Baskin and his friend sing the now famous “Ice Cream” song.

The page already has 257 backers who have pledged $42,758 of the $57,000 he needs to finish. Moscow has just 7 days left to reach his goal.
