Susan Sarandon Is 'Open' When It Comes to Dating – but Isn't So Sure About Tinder
"I haven't found anybody yet since my last breakup," Susan Sarandon reveals
Susan Sarandon isn’t totally against using a dating app, but she hasn’t hopped on the bandwagon just yet. The actress is still holding on to hope of finding someone in New York City the old-fashioned way: face to face.
“I’m a New Yorker, I’ve always lived here but one of the reasons that I love New York is that the serendipity is just so thick here, so you can go out on the street and just see things you didn’t count on and you don’t have to swipe left or right,” the actress said recently, referring to dating apps like Tinder and Hinge during a post-screening Q&A in New York for her new film The Meddler, hosted by The MOMS.
“My daughter keeps telling me, ‘Just be open,’ ” Sarandon – who called it quits last year with ex Jonathan Bricklin – said of her struggle to find a suitable partner. “I keep saying, ‘I’m open, I’m open. I’ve been open.’ ”
So open, in fact, that when one of The MOMS founders, Denise Albert, revealed that she found success using an app, Sarandon, 69, seemed intrigued. “Which site?” she asked, to which Albert replied, “Tinder.”
“I haven’t found anybody yet since my last breakup,” Sarandon revealed.
