After crushing box office records in its first week, Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a box-office gift on Christmas Day, too. The space saga’s seventh chapter pulled in $49.3 million domestically, according to Entertainment Weekly.
That number surpassed the previous record-holder, 2009’s Sherlock Holmes reboot, by nearly $25 million.
News of the film’s latest achievement comes as the L.A. Times reports that a new Star Wars adventure is coming to Disneyland. According to the Times, the upcoming expansion will inhabit 14 acres of the Anaheim, California, park.
Moving out to welcome Star Wars? Frontierland’s Big Thunder Ranch, Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue, Big Thunder Ranch petting zoo and the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree.
Construction begins on the new project Jan. 10, though no completion date has been announced.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is currently in theaters.
