Welcome to the Star Wars universe!

Fans were introduced to two new faces joining the famous franchise at Star Wars Celebration day on Friday during a special panel presentation.

British actress Naomi Ackie joined her fellow cast members onstage, revealing that her character’s name is Jannah.

“I’m very ready to celebrate, I’ve been waiting for this,” Ackie said at the panel. “All I can really say is the original group are going on this epic, epic adventure together, and I’m so excited about where Jana crosses paths with them.”

And what about rumors that she’s Lando Calrissian’s daughter? (Billy Dee Williams, who plays Lando, is returning in the new movie.)

“Listen, Lando is a very charming man, so he could have children all over the universe,” she jokingly teased.

But Ackie isn’t alone! A new droid named D-0 was also introduced to the audience, with director J.J. Abrams calling it BB-8’s new friend.

Along with the new characters, the latest film will see the return of stars from The Last Jedi including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver.

Fans were also given a first look at the teaser trailer for Episode IX on Friday, and the title of the highly-anticipated movie was revealed: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars: Episode IX is set to premiere December 20, 2019.
