In Sunshine Cleaning Amy Adams plays Rose Lorkowski, a former high school cheerleader who at 30-something ends up a single mother who goes into an unexpected profession: Crime scene clean-up.

Lorkowski and her slacker sister, played by Emily Blunt, soon find themselves mopping up after murders, suicides and other dark situations. But the siblings also find they can touch people’s lives in the wake of tragedy.

In this exclusive clip for PEOPLE, Adams consoles an elderly woman as she arrives to clean up her home after a death in the family. Sunshine Cleaning hits theaters March 13.
