Check out the first trailer for Tarsem Singh's new sci-fi thriller, scheduled to hit theaters in July
What if you got a chance to prolong your life – in the body of Ryan Reynolds?
That’s exactly what happens to Ben Kingsley‘s character Damian in the upcoming science-fiction thriller Self/less.
Directed by Tarsem Singh (also known for the 2000 sci-fi hit The Cell), the psychological drama follows a wealthy man dying of cancer (played by Kingsley) who decides to undergo a medical procedure that transfers his stream of consciousness into the body of a healthy younger man (Reynolds).
It seems as if Kingsley’s character is embracing a new life of luxury, money, cars and girls. But – even in the body of Ryan Reynolds – there’s a catch.
Damian starts to learn the truth about the research organization where his new body came from: “Immortality has some side effects,” says a cryptic Matthew Goode in the preview, who plays one of the heads of research. “There is no progress without sacrifice.”
