Jackie – oh!

Natalie Portman brings us right back to the days following John F. Kennedy‘s assassination in this still from the upcoming Jackie.

In this goosebump-inducing shot, the Oscar-winning actress portrays the poise and heartbreak the First Lady exuded after her husband’s 1963 death in Dallas.

Wearing a red dress, pearls and a pained expression, Portman stands in the White House, her hands awkwardly clasped as she mourns her husband and prepares to leave the storied home she shared with her husband and young children.

Jackie is currently filming in Paris, per Deadline.com, and follows the First Lady’s story in the days after becoming a widow at just 34.

Portman, 34, is far from the first actress to portray the icon who went on to marry a Greek billionaire and find a new life in New York society.

Katie Holmes, Minka Kelly, Roma Downey, Jill Hennessy and several others have also tackled the role.

Jackie, which costars Peter Sarsgaard and Greta Gerwig, is expected to be released in 2017.
