Sandra Bullock‘s butt has become one of the great conundrums of our generation – at least for now.
Taking a page straight out of her character’s political handbook, the Our Brand Is Crisis star, 51, is leaving us guessing on whether or not that was her real backside in the movie’s buzzed-about mooning scene.
So what will it take to get some answers? Apparently, a simple compliment will do.
“No one has said that’s a great ass,” Bullock joked while talking to ET Canada about the infamous scene. “If they said that’s a great ass – there’s a response that I want before I’ll confirm or deny.”
The Oscar-winning actress had previously joked that her pal George Clooney – who also produced the film – stood in as her “butt-double,” saying he had a “baby bottom, versus what I’ve got down there, which is a Chia Pet.”
But just because she’s remaining tight-lipped (tight-cheeked?) when it comes to that particular scene, she does admit that her group of friends aren’t afraid to flash a full-moon every once in a while.
“In my group for some reason, they still feel the need to do it,” she said. “I’ll be sitting here and there will be an ass in the doorway while you’re doing these interviews and you’re like ‘Really, you are a 50-year-old-woman, pull your pants up.’ ”

And perhaps it’s that sense of humor that helped shape the actress’s thoughts about nudity onscreen. Bullock admitted that she’s not afraid to strip down for the camera – as long as it’s for the sake of a joke.
“I’ve done full nudity for the sake of comedy,” she said. “I won’t do it for seriousness, but I’ll show some body parts for a joke.”
Realizing how unconventional that might sound, she quipped, “It says I need therapy, that’s what it says.”
