Ryan Reynolds, is that you?

The Self/less actor hid his face behind a Darth Vader mask at Sunday’s San Diego Comic-Con, but he couldn’t hide his guns.

“Late for your panel? Sometimes ya gotta make a run for it,” joked the masked Canadian actor, 38, alongside an Instagram photo of him looking menacing but still chiseled. “Harnessing the dark powers of Lord Vader.”

Reynolds – who joined Instagram and Facebook in May – was at Comic-Con to promote his new movie, the X-Men spin-off Deadpool, whose R-rated trailer wowed Comic-Con attendees.

Reynolds’ recent (not to mention cheeky) Instagram snaps as Deadpool seem to cast the character as a wisecracking, irreverent antihero. He debuted the character in 2009’s X-Men: Origins, but he has said that this stand-alone film will offer up a whole new take on the character that’s closer to a reboot.

Deadpool is slated to hit theaters Feb. 12, 2016.
