Javert and Jean Valjean are back onstage!

Russell Crowe reunited with his Les Misérables costar Hugh Jackman onstage in Sydney on Wednesday night, surprising audiences during a performance of his one-man show, Hugh Jackman: Broadway to OZ.

The Aussie duo did a rendition of their duet The Confrontation from the onscreen musical, in which Crowe and Jackman starred as Javert and Jean Valjean respectively.

Jackman tweeted a picture of the pair posing together during a rehearsal at the Qantus Credit Union Arena, captioning, “@russellcrowe awesome sharing the stage with you tonight mate! #BroadwayToOz.” Crowe responded, “What a privilege for me, thank you so much man.”

The Gladiator star also tweeted a selfie of himself taking a drink before heading on stage. He captioned, “Back stage at the Entertainment Centre, just about to sing The Confrontation with @RealHughJackman.”

Jackman’s one-man show, an updated version of his 2011 hit Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, is currently on a five-city tour of Australia which began in November and will end in December. Similar to the 2011 program, Broadway to Oz takes audiences through Jackman’s personal journey from the Outback to Broadway to Hollywood, Variety reports.
